Pekka Sinervo

Pekka Sinervo is a Professor of Physics at the University of Toronto who has searched for new phenomena at both the low and high-energy frontier.  He was involved in the search and discovery of the top quark at the Fermilab Tevatron and the Higgs boson at the CERN Large Hadron Collider.  Since 2020, he has focused his work on the search for dark matter as a member of the SuperCDMS at SNOLAB Collaboration.  He is involved in operations, estimation of backgrounds and the development of the statistical frameworks needed for the dark matter search.
